Who We Are

About Us

Alliance members are the national associations of pharmacy educators, regional networks of pharmacy schools and other important stakeholders that are committed to maximizing the contributions of pharmacy education to advance pharmacy practice globally.

Networking and resource sharing are the primary priorities of the Alliance.  This Web site is central platform for these activities. The Global Network for Pharmacy Education (url) is the web-based mechanism by which pharmacy educators around the world can connect with each other and find the resources needed to advance pharmacy education.  These resources will include accreditation standards and guidelines, curricular models, administrative documents, competency statements, and course materials from Alliance members and partner organizations.

The Global Alliance provides the backbone for communications among leaders of national and/or regional associations of pharmacy educators as they work to help each other strengthen pharmacy education in response to locally determined needs for pharmacy services in a specific country or region. Alliance members meet periodically at national and international meetings. A Global Congress on Pharmacy Education is likely to be planned in the future.
